Chapter 18 – Nic Schuman

Can you tell us what happened Miss? You were there at the scene, weren’t you?”

“Yes. Yes I…I was.” Miranda says, shivering.

“Were you in the supposed blast of water?” The reporter asked.

“I’m soaked. I have water dripping down my spine. Of course I was in the blast!” She exclaims.

Someone comes over and hands her a towel.

“Thank you.” Miranda says sweetly and takes it, wrapping it over her shoulders.

“Who else was there?” The reporter asks.

“A scrawny Pierce kid with is little good for nothing friends. Wears a grey jacket, undercut brown hair, blue eyes, appears to be thirteen years old, blue jeans and a Denver Broncos shirt.” Miranda says calmly, still shivering.

“Was there any–” the reporter stops and listens.

“What is that noise?” He asks.

Metal was clanking against the pavement, whirring coming from a black moving figure. Gears begin to fall onto the ground and blood had now begun to replace the spewing drips of oil and drip down from his legs. Red light followed forward and climbed up the reporters backside of the body.

“What else was there Miranda? Is he headed for the next emerald?” Perclius asks.

“He has the water emerald, yes and I over heard him say that they’re headed towards Death Valley, where the earth emerald lies inside Dublins caves.” Miranda says.

“I’m sorry to break your conversation, but I couldn’t help hearing about emeralds.” The reporter snickers, “What are they, like gems that have powers or something?”

“Yes.” Perclius grumbles.

The reporter and the camera men laugh hysterically. Perclius walks away and turns around. “Laugh all you want, but soon darkness will consume you and the life that swims within you body will leave in agony and pain.” Perclius smiles as he spreads his arms apart and let’s a black smoke leave his body and surround the reporter.

“What… what’s happening?” The reporter says paranoid.

The smoke thickens and begins to engulf the reporter. The camera men begin to run back towards a van, scared. Perclius throws a fire ball at the van, blowing it up instantly. He then walks toward the black smoke, where the frightened reporter is curled up in a ball. Perclius begins to loom over him. His horizontal right eye is not so horizontal any more, instead it’s like a timer. A timer ticking down how much time he has left until fully reincarnated.

The reporter slowly turns around and was then greeted with multiple blows in the face from punches.

The smoke clears, blood drips down from Perclius’s metallic hand. Fist prints littered the reporters face and blood dripped onto the ground in tiny little pools.

“Forget the emeralds. We’ll wait for him to bring them to us.” Perclius says, “The Reviver must be built immediately.”

“You mean the beacon in order to bring back and lift Ouranos off the back of Atlas?” Miranda asks.

“Indeed.” Perclius nods and walks towards a Dark Force vehicular flying warship. Theta walks up to Perclius and pants.

“Dinner is served.” Perclius smiles and makes way for her to call for her pack, it was feasting time.

The undead wolves leap from the undead emerald sitting next to one of the gunmen’s. The wolves begin to run through and terrorize the men and women surrounding the scene.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Flashing images pan through my dream-like mind. Images of screaming, undead wolves devouring the lives of hundreds in New York Times Square. The sky ripped open by a colored beacon, a dark and regular blue, black, red, white and brown. The ripped open sky reveals a starry world in which appears to be moving. A white eye appears from the moving starry sky. The creature blinks and a laugh comes from him.
“I will arise once more.” Ouranos says.
Guns were firing from all around, blood trickled from the staircase of multiple bodies of men and women. Buildings with the look of destruction littered across New York. Fires burned left and right, and Erebus haunting the lives of children. Tears are shed, the lives of millions are shattered. Darkness has consumed the heart of Perclius. It all had to mean one thing. Ouranos’ rise to power.
