“Golden Flower” – Liam Flake

Golden flower over parched earth,

Unfathomable pearl of searing rays.

It burns

It is benevolent, but without mercy.

It gives, but also takes.

There is no higher king, and it does as it pleases.

This is not the Great Ra, the radiant Apollo, or the terrible Tonatiuh of yore,

But a new sun god.

Its power is unmatched

Radiant skies of blue are its domain.

It brings warmth upon our faces in its glorious reign.

Hail to the new sun god.
