“They” Won’t Know – Anna Dory

Death comes to most at the end of their days

But for us?

We died

We died long before they’ll know

Know what it’s like to wear their bones to the base

Know what it’s like to feel their skin peel and flake

Yet to you we’re still young, ignorant and sane

You won’t know how we hold our hearts our eyes and our brain

Keep our mouths closed, eyes shut, brow down

Pain is reserved for those of an unknown age

Cause to you…

I’m just too young too ignorant too sane
